Ages 13+ Safe Sport Training

SafeSport Training for Swimmers
Here’s the deal: USA Swimming requires all swimmers aged 13 and older to complete a quick online “SafeSport for Youth Athletes” course. Why? Because we’re all about making sure our athletes swim in the safest, most positive environment possible—no exceptions (and it’s required of our club to maintain our USA swimming registration).

Plus, This course empowers swimmers with knowledge to recognize and respond to misconduct. It’s a vital part of creating a supportive environment for everyone—and a mandatory step for all USA Swimming members aged 13-17.

How to Complete the Training:

  1. Visit the SafeSport Training WebsiteClick here to start
  2. Login: Your swimmer needs to already be set up and linked to your parent account in USA Swimming. Then you need to setup a login for their swimmer account, as it will not allow you to access the course from the parent account. *I couldn’t make a perfect tutorial for this as my child isn’t 13 yet but here is a tutorial with images on how to complete the course.
  3. Use the following tutorial to access the course as needed.

We kindly ask that this training is completed by 1 month prior to our first swim meet (usually by Mid October in the Fall Season or before any scheduled meets for other seasons) to meet USA Swimming’s requirements. By completing the SafeSport training, your swimmer will be better prepared to navigate their swimming journey safely and confidently.
