Prior minutes from April 30th 2025 approved.
Financial Report – provided by Melissa, Received other outstanding checks from other
places and have been able to pay shared profits from meets to the sharks . Jen T and
Melissa have met and added Melissa onto the bank account. Melissa and Greg are
signers of checks Melissa to update the PO box with correct names and two keys, we
currently only have one. Software is being reviewed for purchase (Quicken, Xerox and
Wave are options) This will be used to help ease bank reconciliation.
NEW Business:
● All new board members need to complete safesport class and do background
checks. Jen H. will send this information to new members.
● Summit was moved to September- date TBD
● Fall swim will start the week of September 8th.
● Kate will be getting the swim flyer updated to be sent to schools for approval.
● Lorelie Bautista- Roman has offered to run the social media for VAC
● The calendar from Jen T. Never got sent to everyone after the last meeting and
it will be sent to everyone soon.
Summer Swimming Information- Pine bush will split pool time with us. 7am-9 am will
be 2 hr kids 9am-10am will be younger 1 hour kids. This will run June 30th -August
7th. We will be sending out a survey to see who is interested in joining and which days
of the week. We will not hold swim practice on Fridays in the summer.
Summer Pricing- We will be keeping the pricing the same as last year($50 per week),
but may update to a lower amount once we get set days from the sharks and figure out
how many days we will hold swim practice.
The need for more coaches- Dillion is talking to Abby to get certified and possibly has
two other former VC swimmers he’s talking to about potentially coaching.
Renegades game- We have sold 28 tickets so far. Torea will be sending out a
reminder to buy tickets and let everyone know they can bring their friends and families.
Volunteering- Currently the cost for not volunteering is $250. For the new season the
cost will be upped to $300. The number of times to volunteer will stay the same at 6x
during the fall season. We will be enforcing that in the weeks to come for the last fall
season. Going forward it was suggested that Fred take on the volunteering duty and
keep track of who does and doesn’t for the upcoming season TBD.
