VAC BOARD Meeting 2-6-25

ALL VIRTUAL Attendance: Coach Jen, Greg Hoover, Jen Thompson, Milana Tepermayster,
Toriea Brown, Melissa Grau, Kate Giametta, Brenda Ramirez, Lena, Christina Kelly
5:37 p.m. meeting Call to Order by Greg, seconded by Toriea
Old Business – January meeting minutes Toriea made motion, Melissa second, all approve.
All prior meeting minutes that were amended – motion to approve – Greg

made motion, Toriea seconded, all approved.
Financial Report by Jen T: January Blitz expenditures/gross profits, Question came up
whether we pay for rental of space – Jen T will look at our new contract.
Jen T reported that there are still outstanding money owed from the Classic from a
few clubs.
Fundraising: Kate G – reported that Ice Skating event was well attended, kids had fun and
we had positive feedback.
St. Patty’s day parade – Milana mentioned the event, Coach Jen will investigate if we can
have the team walk this year.
NOMINATIONS for new board slate –
Milana nominated Courtney Vazquez – she seems interested – roll of secretary
might fit.
Following positions will be vacant: Clerk position, Head Timer, Head Official,
Communications/Social Media, Fundraising
Greg is agreeing to be nominated as president again, Toreia as vice, Lena –
website/tech support, concession – Brenda, trustee – Kelly, Kate – Ribbons/awards
Discussions on various duties of each position – Greg will take over the life guard seeking
for the meets.
Jen T – will update the form for nominations based on the meeting.
Spring Registration Pricing – board approved to keep same pricing. The following dates for
spring sessions are: March 31st through May 16 is Session 1 and May 16th through June 27 is
session 2.

Summer swim availability – the pool will not be available to us, discussions on other
availabilities to possibly have a session in a different pool. Ideas discussed: new paltz
outdoor pool, mamakating pool, swim camps, YMCA pools?
Meets coming up – Silver and Bronze –
Silvers coming up first – Coach Jen will need to confirm how many of our kids are
attending, what the role of our club is going to be at this meet – who is sitting at the front,
life guards, concession, timers, officials.

Bronze – at the Orange County Community Pool – Greg needs to figure out if OCC
has a list of lifeguards we need to secure. Also, questions remaining on concession, we will
have more parents for timers, who will secure the officials:?

Banquet – Coach Jen to call Otterkill and get pricing, Milana to call Spruce Lodge to get
pricing – looking for after the kids get back from Spring Break – at end of April, want to
secure a DJ, talked about team logo widgets as a goodie bag for kids with t-shirts.

Team Swag – Toriea will speak to her contact to see if he can secure a store for us.
Registration for Spring – Lena made a motion, Jen T seconded to try to use Team Unify for
Spring registration. All in favor.
CPA/Bank Acc – Jen T to check with CPA if we can open a savings/other account for some
of money. Also to ask for referrals if our current CPA is retiring.
Motion made to move money into savings acc – so long as its permissible – Melissa
made motion, Toreia seconded. All in favor.
Need more officials/coaches – we need more parents to train to become officials, Jen T
will send a request along with the nominations email.
